We worked with Backbone some this week. A lot of people disliked it, but I actually enjoyed it. My pair wasn't doing quite as well with the assignment, so I was helping him a lot with it, explaining how models and views interacted.
Teaching him helped me just as much. I was able to slow down and really understand how everything worked. Hack Reactor stresses "teaching to learn". Each student in my cohort was assigned a mentor from the cohort before. My mentor has helped me with technical questions as well with less technical issues like choosing a personal project.
